Historical outfits to hire
Body
By using historical clothes and accessories you can really experience what life was like in different time periods. The museum loans clothes for both children and adults. You can rent an outfit for various event or occasions, or for educational purposes.
The clothes and accessories can be retrieved from the Exhibition Centre WeeGee in Tapiola. Booking necessary!

Children’s outfits
History can also be learnt through drama. To facilitate experiential learning, drama teaching and liven up themed events, you can borrow or rent early-20th-century style peasants’ outfits and clothes of medieval knight and noblewomen. The sizes of the clothes vary from 116 to 160 cm, with the best availability in sizes 122 to 134 cm.
The price is 5 € per outfit. Schools and educational institutions can borrow outfits free-of-charge.The clothes must be returned in their original condition. If we have to wash the clothes after returning, laundry costs will be charged.The clothes and accessories can be retrieved from the Exhibition Centre WeeGee in Tapiola upon agreement.

Peasants’ clothes for children
These nostalgic children’s outfits have been modelled on early-20th-century children’s clothes in the museum’s collections. The clothes are made of cotton and can be machine-washed (40 °C) if necessary.

Adults’ outfits
We have medieval-style clothes avaliable for borrowing for different occassions. The peasants’ outfits are suitable for informal occasions and celebrations alike.
Price: 20 €/outfit. Free for school and educational institutions. The clothes must be returned in their original condition. An everyday outfit for a medieval peasant woman. Includes a tunic, a gown and a scarf or other headdress. Unmarried women would wear a diadem, married women covered their hair.
